Description
Unlike traditional grit guards that lie flat at the bottom of the bucket, the Carbon Collective Mitt Scrub Grit Guard is angled, allowing you to rub your mitt or wash pad against it to remove loose dirt and grit, ensuring it is as clean as possible before coming into contact with the vehicle.
90% of wash-related scratches occur during the hand washing process, where dirt gets trapped between the surface and the mitt, causing paint damage.
The Scrub Guard creates an internal washboard within the bucket, allowing you to clean mitts or pads before they touch the vehicle again, significantly reducing scratches.
Function 1:
The Scrub Guard has conical hexagonal tunnels that filter sand, stones, and dirt, allowing them to fall to the bottom of the bucket, separating them from the wash water and preventing them from being reintroduced.
Function 2:
The ergonomic curved surface acts as a “washboard” to remove debris and contaminants picked up by mitts or pads, preventing them from being transferred back to the car.
Function 3:
Use the Scrub Guard as an external washboard for your wash mitts or pads. Remove the Scrub Guard from the bucket to rinse and dry the mitt/pad for the next wash without it touching the floor or ground.
Instructions for use:
1. Ensure the bucket is the correct size; the guard requires a snug fit in a properly sized cylindrical bucket.
2. Press the Mitt Scrub Grit Guard into the bucket until it fits tightly.
3. Fill the bucket with water and add your favorite shampoo.
4. The guard fits both rinse and wash buckets and is compatible with the Carbon Collective 13L specialized rinse and wheel wash bucket.
5. During the washing process, rub the mitt or wash pad against the inner surface, cleaning your mitt or wash pad before applying it back to the vehicle.
